Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic | 1st Shift | $25-28+HRJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing reliable, safe repairs. The ideal candidate will maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Responsibilities
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned. • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. • Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed. • Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning. • Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. • Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. • Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Skills
• Solid experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair. • Experience performing maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting. • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays. • Experience with industrial welding and fabrication. • Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance. • Previous experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical, ability to troubleshoot PLCs. • Experience with gears, bearings, pumps, pump repair, gear repair, and fabrication. • Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine maintenance, equipment installation, and decommissioning equipment. • Preferred experience with welding, but not mandatory. It is not temperature-controlled and can become dusty due to the materials handled. The facility operates with around 50 people in production across four shifts. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
