Job Title: Facilities ManagerJob DescriptionThe Facilities Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of facility and plant operations, serving as the primary point of contact for all facilities management activities. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building systems and infrastructure, while leading maintenance teams, managing vendors, overseeing budgets, and driving operational excellence. The position is ideal for a proven leader with strong experience in facility operations, maintenance management, and team development within healthcare, commercial, industrial, or other critical environments.Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise facility and plant operations teams, ensuring maintenance, safety, compliance, and operational programs are executed effectively. • Manage daily operations of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, life safety, and overall facility infrastructure. • Drive compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements, including life safety, environmental, OSHA, Joint Commission, and EPA standards. • Monitor facility performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs, analyze trends, and implement corrective action plans to improve performance and reliability. • Manage facility operating budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals and expectations. • Oversee preventive maintenance programs using CMMS and work order management systems to ensure timely and effective maintenance execution. • Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to contract terms and Master Service Agreements (MSAs). • Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and capital initiatives while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to safety policies, infection control practices, PPE requirements, and workplace regulations. • Train, mentor, and develop maintenance and engineering staff, fostering a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment. • Ensure all facility documentation, records, inspections, and reports are maintained accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. • Maintain compliance with Master Service Agreements and other contractual obligations related to facilities and plant operations. • Participate in audits and inspections, respond to findings, and implement corrective measures to maintain continuous compliance. • Troubleshoot facility and building system issues, coordinate repairs, and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime. • Support and contribute to engineering services and plant operations strategies to enhance reliability and efficiency of critical systems. Essential Skills
• At least 5 years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations, Plant Operations, Engineering, or Maintenance Management. • Proven experience leading maintenance, engineering, or facility operations teams in complex environments. • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational spending. • In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and experience using CMMS and work order management systems. • Experience managing third-party vendors, service providers, and service contracts, including MSAs and SLAs. • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety programs, and building operations, including OSHA, EPA, and Joint Commission requirements. • Demonstrated ability to manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, boiler, and other critical building systems. • Experience with KPI and SLA management, including tracking, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, as well as computerized maintenance management systems. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills related to facilities, plant operations, and building systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related technical field (preferred). • Technical trade school training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience. • Professional certifications such as CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or CPMM (Certified Plant Maintenance Manager). • Experience overseeing multiple facilities or large-scale operations. • Experience in healthcare facilities, critical environments, commercial real estate, or industrial facilities (preferred). • Experience with facility audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Strong vendor management skills, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and contract compliance. • Working knowledge of safety programs, infection control practices, and PPE requirements in operational environments. • Experience with project management related to facility improvement, renovation, and capital projects. • Comfort with using CMMS, managing work orders, and leveraging data to drive operational decisions. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility on hours as operational needs require. Work involves regular interaction with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, boiler, and life safety systems, as well as use of CMMS and standard office technologies such as Microsoft Office and SharePoint. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety programs, infection control practices, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards, with frequent coordination among maintenance staff, vendors, and other stakeholders. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southlake, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
