Machinist (Weekend Shift) Job Summary Seeking an experienced Machinist to operate CNC machines, grinders, mills, and lathes in a precision manufacturing environment supporting medical device production. This is a weekend-only role working as part of a small team while maintaining quality and production standards. Responsibilities
• Operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, grinders, and centerless grinding equipment. • Set up and run machining operations to meet production requirements. • Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. • Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments as needed. • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues. • Follow safety procedures and work instructions. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Meet production and quality goals. Qualifications
• 2+ years of machining experience. • Experience with CNC machines, mills, lathes, grinders, or centerless grinders. • Ability to perform machine setups and adjustments. • Experience using precision measuring tools. • Strong math and mechanical aptitude. • Able to work independently in a production environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Centerless grinding experience. • 5-axis machining experience. • Experience in precision or medical device manufacturing. Work Environment
• Small machine shop environment. • Weekend schedule: Friday-Sunday, 12-hour shifts. • Typical hours: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM or 7:00 AM-7:00 PM. • Facility can be noisy due to operating machinery. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Boston, NH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
