Job Title: Mixer OperatorJob DescriptionThe Mixer Operator is responsible for creating batches of material according to specified requirements. This role involves weighing materials, maintaining cleanliness in the mixing area, and addressing any mixing issues. Additional tasks may be assigned by leadership as necessary.Responsibilities
• Review the Mixing Schedule regularly. • Produce batches in the mixer as scheduled. • Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use following specified procedures. • Dump batches from mixers efficiently. • Communicate with previous operators to discuss any irregularities or special instructions. • Follow the Mixing Procedure to produce standard production batches. • Identify and report any abnormalities such as non-standard conditions to the Group Leader and QA. • Maintain accurate identification on batches. • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, including batch tickets and mixing dump reports. • Inform the Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, drums, or raw materials, and report safety and maintenance concerns. Essential Skills
• Experience in Mixing, Batching, and Compounding. • Chemical handling and Machine operation proficiency. • Ability to operate a forklift. • Production experience and batch documentation skills. • 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• High School diploma/GED or equivalent education. • Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly. • Comfortable working in a facility with strong odors. • Pass skills key and audiogram tests. • Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience. • Chemical manufacturing experience. • Forklift experience is optional. The climate-controlled work environment requires exposure to manufacturing operations, including moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. The facility offers safety PPE including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds. The schedule includes mandatory weekend shifts when necessary and potential overtime based on business needs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Evansville, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
