About this role

Job Title: Field TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our diverse team as a Field Technician, where you will play a crucial role in groundwater drilling and service operations. You will collaborate with clients to collect soil and water samples, install monitoring wells, and contribute to activities that ensure the monitoring and protection of groundwater. Responsibilities • Work with clients to collect soil and water samples. • Install monitoring wells and assist in groundwater protection activities. • Perform assembly and disassembly of pumps in the shop. • Engage in light painting and pipe, shafting, and wire cleaning. • Operate field equipment with guidance and learn field operations. • Assist as a laborer in the field, moving materials and digging holes. • Work outdoors year-round and travel for per diem jobs as needed. • Lift up to 50lbs routinely and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Essential Skills • Willingness to work outdoors year-round. • Experience with equipment operation is essential. • Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/tools. • Valid driver's license with a good driving record. • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects routinely. • Geoprobe drilling experience is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications • CDL financial assistance program available. • Pay rate increase upon acquisition of CDL license. • Experience in general labor, landscaping, and concrete work. • Knowledge of power tools and construction. Work EnvironmentYou will work both in the shop and in the field, often alongside at least one other person to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. The environment is laid-back, prioritizing a positive attitude and hard work. The dress code requires jeans, a t-shirt, work boots, and preferably leather gloves, although gloves are not mandatory. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Plain, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
