This position is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, primers, and protective coatings to a variety of products and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, spray equipment, and finishing techniques while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and performing other preparation methods as required. • Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications and quality standards. • Mix paints and coatings to achieve the proper color, consistency, and finish. • Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment safely and effectively. • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, coverage, and appearance, performing touch-ups as needed. • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements to meet project deadlines. • Maintain painting equipment and ensure tools remain in proper working condition. • Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of paints, coatings, and related materials. • Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, assembly, and quality teams. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards. • Support continuous improvement efforts related to painting processes, quality, and efficiency. Required Skills

• Experience in industrial painting, manufacturing, production, autobody, aviation, or related finishing environments. • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sanding, grinding, cleaning, and masking. • Experience applying paints, primers, stains, coatings, or other finishes using spray equipment or manual methods. • Ability to operate painting equipment and associated tools safely. • Understanding of paint mixing procedures and coating application techniques. • Ability to identify and correct defects such as runs, fisheyes, uneven coverage, or finish imperfections. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment. • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. • Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial coatings, powder coating, automotive refinishing, aviation painting, or specialty coatings. • Familiarity with sandblasting, media blasting, or other surface preparation processes. • Experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, production, or industrial environments. • Knowledge of coating thickness measurement and quality inspection procedures. • Forklift, crane, or material handling experience is a plus. • Ability to read basic work instructions, drawings, or specifications. • Interest in long-term career growth and advancement opportunities. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
