• 2nd shift: 3PM-2:30AM OT Available and REQUIREDJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Associate accurately receives, stocks, and ships materials while maintaining inventory records in the computer system. This role supports daily truck unloading, organizes product on shelves, and ensures all outgoing shipments are prepared and processed through major carriers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.Responsibilities
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and descriptions against shipping documents. • Stock product neatly and accurately on shelves to maintain organized and accessible inventory. • Assist with unloading trucks, typically one truck per day, using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices. • Input materials and inventory data into the computer system (MC) to keep records current and accurate. • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation for carriers such as UPS and FedEx. • Perform shipping and receiving tasks in line with established procedures and timelines. • Operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload materials as needed, following all safety guidelines. • Maintain a clean, orderly work area in the warehouse and shipping/receiving zones. • Communicate effectively with team members regarding incoming and outgoing materials, inventory levels, and any discrepancies. • Follow all safety policies, including proper use of equipment and adherence to facility guidelines. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience, ideally with UPS or FedEx. • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution environment. • Ability to utilize computers to input, update, and track materials in the inventory system. • Experience handling inventory, including organizing and stocking products on shelves. • Capability to assist with unloading trucks and handling materials safely. • Ability to operate or learn to operate a sit-down forklift in a safe and controlled manner. • Attention to detail when verifying shipments and entering data. • Basic understanding of shipping documentation and carrier procedures. Work is scheduled Monday through Thursday with no weekend shifts, supporting a consistent and predictable routine. Proper safety footwear is required, and employees receive an annual credit toward approved safety shoes. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
