The candidate will be responsible for completing open-root welds in the 6G position and reading and interpreting isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld procedures. Additionally, the role requires fabricating, fitting, and welding piping systems to project specifications, as well as welding process piping, utility piping, and structural components as required.Responsibilities
• Perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and FCAW welding on carbon and stainless-steel pipes. • Complete open-root welds in the 6G position. • Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld procedures. • Fabricate, fit, and weld piping systems to project specifications. • Weld process piping, utility piping, and structural components as required. • Verify weld quality through visual inspection and prepare welds for NDE testing. • Operate grinders, cutting torches, beveling machines, and other fabrication equipment. • Follow all site-specific safety requirements and OSHA standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Collaborate with pipefitters, millwrights, and project teams to meet production schedules. Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of industrial pipe welding experience. • Ability to pass a 6G weld test on carbon and/or stainless steel pipe. • Experience welding schedule 40 and schedule 80 pipe. • Proficient in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings. • Knowledge of welding codes, procedures, and quality requirements. • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and shutdown schedules as needed. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
