Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire - 1st shift / 3rd shift openings availableJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs production equipment to keep machinery operating safely and efficiently across the facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of equipment, completing preventive maintenance, supporting equipment installations, and ensuring all work aligns with safety standards in a clean, food manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep production machinery up and running throughout the facility to minimize downtime. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on packaging machines, Delkor machines, conveyors, gearboxes, jackshafts, labeling machines, boilers, and related equipment. • Troubleshoot electrical issues including work on PLCs, robots, 3phase motors, 480V systems, VFDs, and safety circuits. • Perform mechanical repairs using basic TIG welding and basic mill and lathe operation to repair or fabricate parts as needed. • Install new equipment and systems when required, ensuring proper setup, alignment, and integration with existing machinery. • Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and follow the established PM schedule to reduce unexpected breakdowns. • Execute work orders in a timely manner and accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues and guide repairs. • Work with motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics to perform maintenance, adjustments, and replacements. • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting to assist in identifying control-related issues, escalating to automation technicians for programming changes when needed. • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of proxy switches, safety circuits, and machine guards, and adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures. • Operate within wet and cold areas of the plant as required, including zones with chillers and refrigeration systems. • Collaborate with automation technicians and production teams to support continuous improvement and efficient operation of the manufacturing lines. Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (5+ years is a plus). • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills across a variety of production equipment. • Hands-on experience working with 480V electrical systems and 3phase power. • Ability to troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics. • Experience with mechanical troubleshooting on packaging and material handling equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, and labeling machines. • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including VFDs, safety circuits, and control components. • Basic PLC troubleshooting experience, with the ability to identify control-related issues and support automation technicians. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. • Previous experience in food manufacturing or similar regulated environments such as chemical, pharmaceutical, or agricultural operations. • Capability to perform basic TIG welding for repair work. • Ability to perform basic mill and lathe operations to repair or modify parts. • Strong attention to safety, including adherence to machine guarding, proxy switches, and safety circuits. • Ability to complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• More than 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. • Stronger electrical skill set than mechanical, with comfort working on high-voltage systems and complex controls. • Experience working with robots in a production setting. • Experience in FDA-regulated environments and familiarity with compliance standards for food manufacturing. • Comfort working in wet and cold areas of a plant, including zones with chillers and refrigeration systems. • Willingness to work various shifts, including 12hour days or nights and 8hour 2nd or 3rd shifts, as needed. Multiple direct-hire openings are available across several shifts, including 12hour day shifts (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), 12hour night shifts (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), 8hour 2nd shifts (2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.), and 8hour 3rd shifts (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). Some work areas can be wet, and maintenance technicians may get wet during the shift; uniforms are provided to support comfort and safety. Certain sections of the plant are cold due to chillers and refrigeration systems, and employees should be comfortable working in cooler conditions. As an FDA-regulated environment, the dress code includes wearing uniforms, white coats, hair nets, beard nets when applicable, and gloves, and requires adherence to grooming standards such as no nail polish. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and proper use of machine guards and safety circuits while maintaining a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Delphos, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr.
