Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machine Operator$25-36/hrJob DescriptionThis role works in a machine shop on 2nd shift, supporting CNC machine set-ups and operations. You will read and interpret blueprints and work orders, perform in-process dimensional inspections, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure high-quality production on large volume manufacturing projects.Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and multi-axis equipment, to produce precision parts according to specifications. • Review and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work orders to complete machine set-ups correctly and efficiently. • Perform in-process inspections to verify dimensions and tolerances of parts throughout the production run. • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, measurements, and production activities in accordance with shop standards. • Support changeovers between jobs, including adjusting tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters as required. • Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining and set-up problems. • Follow established safety procedures and shop guidelines while working with CNC equipment and related tools. • Collaborate with team members in the machine shop to meet production schedules and quality requirements. • Ensure work area, machines, and tools remain clean, organized, and ready for the next job. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines or equivalent trade school experience. • Hands-on experience with CNC lathes and machine operating in a production or machine shop environment. • Ability to work with multi-axis equipment such as 5-axis and Multus machines. • Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work orders. • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes. Work EnvironmentThis position is on 2nd shift, working from 3:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. in a 104,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The role is based in a machine shop environment with CNC equipment, including lathes and multi-axis machines such as 5-axis and Multus. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northfield, NH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $86528.00/yr.
