Job Title: Manufacturing TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in producing high-quality heaters, circuits, and wire-wound panels by performing precise assembly, inspection, cleaning, and preparation tasks. This position involves working with hand tools, performing soldering and crimping, following detailed work orders, and ensuring that all products meet defined specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities • Differentiate between properly and improperly assembled heaters, circuits, and wire-wound panels and ensure that only acceptable products move forward in the process. • Inspect completed work thoroughly to confirm it meets all product requirements, specifications, and quality standards. • Clean raw materials and finished parts using approved cleaning solutions such as isopropyl alcohol and water, as well as air hoses and cloths. • Prepare pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) applications and set up the bladder press for PSA processing. • Tape heaters onto boards in preparation for potting and conformal coating processes. • Perform soldering and crimping tasks with accuracy and consistency using appropriate hand tools. • Follow work orders and assembly instructions to build products according to documented procedures. • Use measuring tools and basic troubleshooting skills to verify dimensions and identify issues during assembly. • Enter required production and quality data accurately into the system. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and follow all workplace policies and procedures. Essential Skills • Ability to perform soldering and crimping work with hand tools. • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with assembly processes and tools. • Ability to read and follow work orders and written assembly instructions in English. • Basic math skills to support measuring, counting, and verification tasks. • Average eyesight sufficient to inspect small components and verify product quality. • Ability to perform accurate data entry related to production and quality. • Troubleshooting skills to identify and address basic issues in assembly or product quality. • Ability to use measuring tools to confirm dimensions and tolerances. • Reliability in showing up on time and consistently completing assigned tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Self-starter with the ability to work independently once trained. • Comfort working with cleaning solutions such as isopropyl alcohol and water. • Ability to work effectively in a structured manufacturing environment. • Willingness to learn new processes and be trained on the full operational system. Work EnvironmentThis role is based on a clean, well-lit, and organized manufacturing floor designed to support safe and efficient production work. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. Technicians work with hand tools, cleaning solutions such as isopropyl alcohol and water, air hoses, cloths, PSA applications, and a bladder press, as well as measuring tools for inspection and verification. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Lyme, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
