Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob DescriptionThis role focuses on managing shipping and receiving activities within a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse environment. You accurately record inventory in an ERP/SAP system, coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries, and support warehouse operations by operating a sit-down forklift and assisting dock workers with loading and unloading trucks. Responsibilities • Handle daily shipping and receiving tasks, including processing incoming and outgoing shipments. • Use ERP/SAP systems to accurately record inventory transactions and maintain up-to-date stock records. • Communicate with vendors to confirm delivery details and help ensure shipments arrive on time. • Float within the warehouse to support various operational needs as required. • Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, load, and unload materials and products safely. • Assist dock workers in loading and unloading trucks and incoming shipments. • Perform material handling activities, including moving, stacking, and organizing products in designated areas. • Conduct basic data entry to update shipping, receiving, and inventory information in computer systems. • Follow established logistics and inventory procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency. • Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required protective equipment while working in the warehouse. Essential Skills • At least 2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment. • At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment. • At least 1 year of experience with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks. • At least 1 year of experience using basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation. • Valid forklift certification for sit-down forklift operation. • Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or logistics setting. • Ability to use ERP systems, including SAP, for inventory and logistics activities. • Knowledge of inventory control and logistics practices. • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior knowledge or experience in the printing or corrugated industry is a plus. • Comfort working in a large facility with active machinery and a fast-paced atmosphere. • Strong attention to detail when recording inventory and shipment information. • Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal team members. • Ability to work collaboratively with dock workers and warehouse staff. Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a clean, well-organized, and safe manufacturing facility with high ceilings and a comfortable atmosphere. The environment is fast-paced, and it can become somewhat loud when machines are running. There are roughly 5060 employees on site, contributing to a busy but supportive culture. The position is on first shift, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dress attire includes steel-toed boots, pants, and a work-appropriate T-shirt, suitable for warehouse and material handling activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
