Job Title: Shop HelperJob DescriptionAs a Shop Helper, you will assist with general shop duties which may include machine operation, deburring, spot welding, assembly, grinding, and more. You will remain in one department throughout the duration of your contract, which may involve repetitive tasks. Responsibilities • Assist in general shop duties and operations. • Operate machines and perform tasks like deburring, spot welding, and grinding. • Participate in assembly and fabrication activities. • Utilize hand and power tools effectively. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Essential Skills • Ability to perform general labor and production tasks. • Experience with hand and power tools. • Capability to lift 50+ lbs. • Basic understanding of spot welding and deburring. Additional Skills & Qualifications • No prior experience needed. • Shop classes in high school or some experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial. • Manufacturing experience and experience with deburring/spot welding is nice to have. Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of two buildings, one dedicated to painting and the other to welding/fabrication. Both buildings are clean and have a good workflow. Employees are expected to maintain cleanliness after each task. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Michael, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
