Job Title: CNC Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe CNC Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime. This role diagnoses and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and lubrication system issues, supports machine installations and upgrades, and maintains accurate maintenance records in a high-volume industrial manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines and related manufacturing equipment to keep production running efficiently. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication system issues on CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers. • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and support continuous production. • Replace worn or damaged machine components, including spindles, motors, and other critical parts. • Perform machine alignments and mechanical adjustments to maintain accuracy and proper machine operation. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide maintenance and repair work. • Assist with machine installations, relocations, and equipment upgrades within the manufacturing facility. • Conduct spindle replacement and rebuilds as needed to maintain machine performance. • Carry out electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment, including motors and control systems. • Use precision measuring tools and standard hand tools to verify machine accuracy and complete repairs. • Perform PLC troubleshooting related to machine controls and automation systems. • Apply knowledge of G-code and multi-axis CNC operation (3-axis and 5-axis) when diagnosing machine issues. • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation of repairs and preventive maintenance activities. • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and support manufacturing goals. • Adhere to safety procedures and best practices while working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Essential Skills

• 5+ years of industrial or CNC maintenance experience preferred. • Hands-on experience maintaining CNC lathes, CNC mills, and machining centers. • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues. • Proficiency in troubleshooting CNC machine breakdowns and maintenance problems. • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems used in industrial equipment. • Experience with spindle replacement and rebuilds on CNC machines. • Industrial and manufacturing maintenance experience, including working with high-volume equipment. • Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience on industrial machinery. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals. • PLC troubleshooting skills related to CNC and industrial automation systems. • Familiarity with motors and electrical components in a manufacturing setting. • Working knowledge of G-code and CNC programming concepts for 3-axis and 5-axis machines. • Ability to use precision measuring tools and standard hand tools safely and effectively. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work in an industrial environment. • Experience with CNC machine maintenance across a large fleet of equipment. • Experience in industrial and manufacturing environments with multiple CNC lathes and mills. • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks. • Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities and following work orders. • Comfort working with climate-controlled equipment areas and high machine counts. • Willingness to train on first shift before moving to assigned shift. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with training initially provided on first shift. The environment is production-oriented, with frequent interaction with CNC equipment, industrial systems, and maintenance tools. The technician works on the shop floor around active machinery and is expected to adhere to appropriate industrial safety practices and attire suitable for a manufacturing setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
