Job Title: Construction TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated construction technicians to join our team and carry out a range of general labor tasks in a shop environment. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, cleaning, performing demolition, and executing basic carpentry work on construction trailers. Technicians will also be responsible for repairs and readiness work, which includes framing, finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and more on our fleet of modular buildings. Attention to quality and safety is paramount in this position. Responsibilities • Perform repairs to mobile office trailers including framing, finish carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and all other facets of modular building repair. • Conduct check-in/out inspections of off-rented buildings to determine repair scope and assess damages for customer invoicing. • Execute modifications as requested by customers. • Maintain inventory levels of all equipment, tools, parts, and VAPS needed for service tasks. • Provide courteous customer service both over the phone and in person, explaining repairs and services to customers. • Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates at stated quality levels. • Perform service-related tasks in the yard as needed. • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls. • Conduct HVAC system checks and maintenance according to company guidelines. Essential Skills • High School diploma or GED • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • 1+ year professional experience using a computer or smartphone • Basic carpentry knowledge and experience Additional Skills & Qualifications • Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is a plus • Valid driver's license Why Work Here?Employees begin with 25 paid leave days annually, including vacation, personal days, and holidays. Work EnvironmentThis role involves both indoor and outdoor work with construction trailers, including general cleaning, demolition, remodeling, and loading/unloading materials. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We provide quality mobile office trailers and storage containers to support new projects in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, ensuring efficient ordering, delivery, setup, and final return of temporary space. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
