Multi-Craft Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Maintenance Technician, you will provide highly technical electrical, mechanical, and control system maintenance support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment. You will troubleshoot various systems, read and interpret schematics, and support engineering projects for both new installations and improvements to existing setups.Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot electrical controls including motor starters, relays, control wiring, variable frequency drives, sensors, AC and DC motors, and Programmable Logic Controllers. • Troubleshoot mechanical systems and components including conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, bearings, seals, and power transmission system components such as gearboxes, belt and chain drives. • Read and interpret schematics, manuals, blueprints, and other technical documents to support maintenance activities. • Support the Preventive Maintenance program by performing PM activities and assisting in continuous program improvement. • Communicate maintenance activities and equipment status to manufacturing team leaders and management. • Support Engineering projects for both new equipment installations and improvements to existing installations. • Adhere to safety policies such as lock-out tag-out and other guidelines. • Coordinate OEM services and parts with Maintenance Planning and Parts departments. • Execute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner. Essential Skills
• Troubleshooting of electrical controls, including motor starters, relays, control wiring, variable frequency drives, sensors, and motors. • Troubleshooting mechanical systems and components such as conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, and power transmission systems. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints. • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical and automation technologies, troubleshooting, and repair. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Related work experience in automation and general maintenance. • Mechatronics degree or related mechanical degree is a plus. • Understanding of systems and processes related to automation and mechanical equipment. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work with little supervision. There will be occasional weekend work available as well. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
