Job DescriptionThe Construction General Laborer supports daily operations on a commercial new construction site by performing a wide range of general labor, site cleaning, and material handling tasks. This role helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while assisting carpenters and other trades as needed.Responsibilities
• Perform general labor and cleaning duties throughout the construction site as needed. • Sweep floors and keep walkways, work areas, and common spaces free of debris. • Pick up trash and dispose of waste materials in designated areas to maintain a clean job site. • Vacuum or remove standing water from work areas when it rains to support safe working conditions. • Move materials, tools, and equipment from one location to another as directed. • Keep the site clean, organized, and free of hazards in accordance with construction safety practices. • Assist carpenters and other trades with various tasks, including material handling and basic support activities. • Follow construction safety guidelines and procedures at all times while working on a new construction job site. • Work comfortably and effectively on a large commercial new construction project. • Collaborate with site personnel to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
