Job Title: Shipper and ReceiverJob DescriptionThe Shipper and Receiver plays a key role in supporting daily yard and warehouse operations by safely loading and unloading CNC equipment, organizing materials, and ensuring accurate documentation for shipments. This position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while handling steel products and related inventory in a fast-paced setting.Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading CNC equipment and related materials in a safe and efficient manner. • Tag and maintain merchandise and materials to ensure accurate identification and traceability. • Sort and stack goods into designated zones to keep the yard and warehouse organized. • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe yard and work environment, consistently prioritizing safety. • Handle general labor tasks including packaging, material handling, and machine operation as required. • Check and verify materials against documentation to ensure accuracy of shipments and receipts. • Prepare and manage bills of lading and ensure all shipping documentation is complete and accurate. • Deal with customs paperwork and tariff paperwork to support cross-border and regulated shipments. • Communicate clearly in written and spoken English with team members and other departments. • Identify different steel shapes and confirm correct sizes using a tape measure, caliper, and steel guidebook. • Work on your feet throughout the day, performing physical tasks in a busy yard and warehouse environment. • Work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed. • Work independently with minimal supervision as well as in conjunction with another team member. Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience with general labor tasks in a warehouse or yard environment. • Forklift operation skills with the ability to safely move and stack materials. • Experience with packaging and material handling processes. • Ability to manage inventory, including checking and verifying materials against documentation. • Knowledge of bills of lading and standard shipping documentation practices. • Experience dealing with customs paperwork and tariff paperwork for shipments. • Clear communication skills in written and spoken English. • Ability to accurately identify steel shapes and sizes using a tape measure, caliper, and steel guidebook. • Ability to work on your feet all day and perform physically demanding tasks. • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and prioritizing. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with another team member. • Basic machine operation skills in a warehouse or yard setting. • Strong focus on maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience of more than 3 years is an asset. • Combi-Lift experience is an asset. • Steel industry or warehouse experience is an asset. • Current Certified Flagger certification is considered a strong asset. • Comfort working with material handling equipment in an industrial environment. • Willingness to participate in education and training opportunities to support growth. The setting is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring attention to safety, organization, and teamwork. Appropriate work boots and practical attire are expected to support safe material handling and yard work. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
