Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic$28-32/hrJob DescriptionThe 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic performs mechanical and electrical repairs and preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, building utilities, and facility systems. This role also handles general facility maintenance tasks such as fixture repairs, snow removal, and sweeping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations throughout the plant.Responsibilities
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food processing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. • Conduct preventive maintenance on processing machinery, building utilities, and facility systems according to established schedules and procedures. • Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. • Work with high voltage electrical systems up to 480V safely and in accordance with applicable standards and procedures. • Install, adjust, and repair mechanical components, pneumatic tools, and related equipment as needed. • Support maintenance of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, plumbing, and wastewater management systems to ensure proper operation. • Perform general facility maintenance, including fixture repairs, basic welding tasks, snow shoveling, and sweeping as required. • Use multi-meters, voltage testers, and amperage testers to verify electrical integrity and ensure equipment is operating within proper parameters. • Collaborate with production staff to respond to equipment issues quickly and effectively while maintaining a safe work environment. • Work autonomously on assigned tasks, managing priorities and documenting work performed in a clear and accurate manner. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment. • Ability to read and use a multimeter for electrical diagnostics. • Ability to work safely with high voltages up to 480V. • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and their operation. • Ability to perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on production equipment. • Experience using multi-meters, voltage testers, and amperage testers in a maintenance setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Forklift experience preferred. • Experience with wastewater management systems is beneficial. • Basic plumbing skills for facility and equipment support. • Welding experience for minor repairs and fabrication is a plus. • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. The environment is focused on safe, sanitary operations, and appropriate personal protective equipment is required, including hair nets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and aprons. You will work around food processing equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC units, and facility utilities, using tools such as multimeters, voltage testers, amperage testers, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment. The role involves both production-floor work and general facility maintenance tasks, requiring comfort in an active, hands-on setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Manchester, NH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $51160.00 - $67600.00/yr.
