Job Title: Manufacturing TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing regulated products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time. This role operates manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation in accordance with Quality System Regulations, company policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and safety standards. The position involves routine assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practice is important, and it requires strong attention to detail and adherence to instructions and pre-established guidelines. The Manufacturing Technician also identifies areas for improvement, applies good documentation practices and basic statistical techniques, and supports continuous improvement of the manufacturing platform.Responsibilities
• Manufacture, assemble, and ship regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices that may be of radioactive nature, in compliance with company policies and quality system guidelines. • Operate production equipment within clean room, laboratory, and other controlled environments while following all safety rules and precautions. • Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures. • Follow written instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions consistently and correctly. • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all designated manufacturing, laboratory, and supply areas. • Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet defined specifications and quality standards. • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, materials, and parts to support continuous improvement. • Support basic maintenance activities on manufacturing and laboratory equipment as directed. • Provide mentorship and coaching to Manufacturing Technician I employees to support skill development and team effectiveness. • Adhere to the companys operating principles and contribute to building a positive and productive team culture. • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including documentation, quality, and safety requirements. • Follow all safety rules and safety precautions when working with hazardous materials, chemicals, and radioactive products. • Access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions, maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards. • Use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers and perform inspection activities to verify product quality. • Perform production, assembly, laboratory, and packaging tasks as needed to support manufacturing operations. • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate manufacturing activities and resolve issues. • Manage multiple priorities and adjust work activities based on production needs and schedules. • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing, operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associates degree in a technical field is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing or operations experience, with at least 1 year of medical device manufacturing experience preferred. • Experience working with medical devices and familiarity with medical device manufacturing practices. • Manufacturing experience and handling of radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred. • Ability to operate production and laboratory equipment in clean room and controlled environments. • Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions accurately. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow pre-established guidelines and instructions. • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. • Ability to compute averages, rates, percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with teams. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production requirements. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with colleagues. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as needed. • Ability to travel for work as needed, including occasional overnight travel. • Ability to satisfactorily pass comprehensive BGV screening. • Capability to frequently lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds. • Strong hand/eye coordination for precise assembly, inspection, and equipment operation. • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality System Regulations. • Familiarity with medical device tooling and quality inspection activities. • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspection. • Experience in production, assembly, laboratory work, and packaging within a regulated environment. • Understanding of good documentation practices and basic statistical techniques for process monitoring. • Ability to identify and implement process improvements related to tooling, equipment, materials, and assembly methods. • Comfort working with hazardous materials and chemicals while following PPE and safety protocols. • Mentoring or coaching experience in a manufacturing setting. • Associates degree in a technical discipline is a plus. • Experience working in clean room environments and radiation-controlled areas is advantageous. You will frequently work with hazardous materials and chemicals, using appropriate personal protective equipment and following strict safety protocols. The position requires frequent fine hand/eye coordination for assembly and inspection tasks and involves a largely stationary role with some movement between work areas. You will regularly use computers, keyboards, mice, monitors, and other office equipment, as well as laboratory and manufacturing equipment. The job involves frequently lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 50 pounds. Work hours may include some evening and weekend shifts depending on workload, and occasional overnight travel may be required for work-related activities and events. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Richland, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
