Job Title: Order PickerJob DescriptionThe Order Picker packages small parts used in side-view mirrors for semi trucks and large recreational vehicles. This role focuses on accurately inspecting, counting, weighing, and packaging components to complete customer orders, while maintaining precise inventory records and using computer systems to process and label shipments. You will work at a waist-high conveyor, preparing boxes and moving them down the line once orders are complete. Responsibilities • Inspect small parts for quality and accuracy before packaging. • Perform inventory checks to ensure correct quantities are available for each order. • Wrap and package components to complete customer orders according to established standards. • Stand at a waist-high conveyor system and roll completed boxes to the end of the conveyor. • Use a computer to locate purchase receipts, print labels, and enter completed parts into the system. • Return parts to inventory locations and update records as needed. • Count and weigh parts to verify order quantities and maintain accurate documentation. • Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping in a warehouse environment. • Handle occasional lifting of packages between 2530 lbs, with most packages weighing less than 10 lbs. • Operate warehouse tools and equipment such as RF scanners to support picking and inventory activities. • Follow established safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in the warehouse. • Collaborate with team members in production, warehouse, and maintenance to ensure smooth workflow. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of warehouse experience. • At least 1 year of packaging experience. • Experience with inventory processes in a warehouse setting. • Ability to perform order picking and packing tasks accurately. • Familiarity with shipping and basic warehouse logistics. • Ability to use a computer to locate purchase receipts, print labels, and enter data. • Comfort using RF scanners or similar warehouse scanning technology. • Ability to stand for extended periods and work at a conveyor system. • Capability to lift packages up to approximately 2530 lbs as needed. • Strong attention to detail when inspecting, counting, and weighing parts. Work EnvironmentThis role is on first shift, working from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with no overtime expected while on contract. You work in a clean, organized warehouse environment focused on picking, packing, and shipping rather than high-speed production, so noise levels remain low. The facility can be warm in the summer but is generally comfortable. You will be part of a team of approximately 20 workers across production, warehouse, maintenance, and operations. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, with music played during work and the option to listen to your own music, while maintaining appropriate attire for a warehouse setting and following all safety guidelines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
