Department Leader, Growth Marketing
Opportunity Overview: The Growth Marketing Department Leader is responsible for leading a high-performing marketing organization focused on driving growth for Edward Jones Financial Advisors through personalized, advisor-focused marketing strategies and services. This role develops and executes integrated growth marketing initiatives that connect prospects and clients with Edward Jones across digital and traditional channels. As a strategic leader and trusted advisor, the Department Leader partners with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Brand, Experience, and business segments to deliver innovative marketing solutions that strengthen advisor practices, deepen client relationships, and drive measurable business outcomes. The role combines strategic leadership, client service excellence, marketing expertise, and talent development to ensure the delivery of impactful marketing programs at scale. • Lead advisor-focused growth marketing programs that drive client acquisition, engagement, and business growth. • Develop and execute integrated omni-channel marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels. • Serve as a strategic advisor to Financial Advisors and business leaders, delivering customized marketing solutions. • Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with firm objectives and client needs. • Drive growth across key client segments, including Core, High Net Worth, and Workplace audiences. • Use data and performance insights to optimize marketing strategies and maximize business impact. • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of marketing professionals. • Strengthen advisor practices and client relationships through innovative, scalable, and results-oriented marketing programs.
Position Requirements: Required Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • 10+ years of experience leading strategic marketing, business growth, or client engagement initiatives, including 3-5+ years of people leadership. • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive business results. • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within large organizations. • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior and executive-level leaders. • Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and delivering measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree (MBA, MA, or MS) in a related field. • Experience in agency, consulting, financial services, or other client-focused marketing environments. • Expertise in growth marketing, demand generation, and omni-channel marketing strategies. Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
