Job Description: Join us as our next Strategic Purchaser Odense, Denmark

Join the Procurement team in our Machine Control Division in Odense and play an active role in bringing strategic decisions to life.

Your responsibilities will include: • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure risk mitigation, supply continuity, quality, and cost optimization. • Developing and executing category strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. • Negotiating contracts, pricing, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO). • Conducting regular supplier reviews and business meetings to ensure compliance with commercial and regulatory requirements. • Maintaining supplier, product, and master data in SAP in cooperation with internal stakeholders. • Providing escalation support and managing supplier-related issues in close collaboration with Planning and Quality. • Leading procurement initiatives related to cost reduction and product lifecycle management. • Implementing and adapting to new requirements across the supplier portfolio to ensure ongoing compliance with import, export, and quality regulations. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and supplier management activities. You understand that strategic procurement is about more than cost. You know how to build strong supplier relationships that drive quality, innovation, and long-term business value. We imagine that you have a solid background in procurement or supply chain management, ideally from a company working with electronics, mechatronics, or mechanical components.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:

• Have strong coordination, planning, and communication skills.

• Take an analytical and proactive approach, with a keen eye for quality.

• Enjoy collaborating with suppliers and can drive decisions through constructive dialogue and negotiation.

• Combine persistence with commercial awareness.

• Are comfortable working with systems and data. Experience with SAP, Microsoft 365, and Jira is a plus.

• Are eager to learn, develop, and embrace new ways of working.

Your development: a field full of opportunities At Leica Geosystems Machine Control, you will have the opportunity to work in a technology-driven environment where procurement plays a key role in the value chain. The more you learn and engage, the greater your influence will be on our global supply strategy.

We believe the best results are achieved by people who take ownership. That is why you will be encouraged to think creatively, challenge existing ways of working, and contribute ideas and initiatives that create value for the team, our suppliers, and the business as a whole. Interested? Would you like to help strengthen and develop our global supplier network? Then we'd love to hear from you.
