Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence Manager for one of our partners, a leading Digital Bank!
THE ROLE
One prohibited relationship, one missed match, and the bank is exposed in a way that's very hard to walk back. You own the framework that prevents that: the screening, the watch lists, the escalation calls on a potential match, and the team that runs it day to day. It's exacting work, and it has to be, because sanctions risk doesn't give second chances.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage the Sanctions team, including work allocation, performance management, and staff developmentMaintain the Sanctions & TFS Framework in line with applicable regulatory requirementsOversee sanctions screening and related controls across relevant customers, transactions, and other applicable partiesOversee the management and maintenance of applicable sanctions and watch lists, ensuring timely implementation of relevant updatesOversee the effectiveness and performance of sanctions screening systems and related controlsOversee the assessment and escalation of potential sanctions matches and related casesMonitor sanctions risk exposure and the effectiveness of sanctions controlsIdentify sanctions-related risks, emerging developments, and relevant typologies, ensuring appropriate consideration within the Financial Crime frameworkProvide sanctions risk input to new products, services, and material changesMaintain appropriate sanctions-related records, reporting, and regulatory correspondenceEscalate material sanctions risks in line with the approved escalation framework
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
7+ years of Financial Crime/AML experience, with significant experience in sanctions, TFS, and sanctions screening, including supervisory or management experienceStrong knowledge of sanctions risk management, sanctions screening, and sanctions screening systemsKnowledge of sanctions and watch-list management, including relevant regulatory and list-update requirementsKnowledge of CBE/EMLCU requirements, FATF standards, and relevant international sanctions regimes, including OFAC, EU, and UK sanctionsA relevant AML/Financial Crime or sanctions qualification is preferred
