Learn more: jti.com B&U (Building & Utilities) Cell Lead (m/f/d) Position's purpose: Are you a hands-on technical leader with a passion for operational excellence, facility reliability, and continuous improvement? Join JTI as a Building & Utilities Cell Lead (m/f/d) and play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective operation of our site infrastructure, utilities, and building services. In this leadership position, you will drive performance, develop team capabilities, oversee maintenance governance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational continuity. Responsibilities: Lead the Building & Utilities area, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of site infrastructure, utilities, and facility services. Drive operational performance through KPI management, daily routines, prioritization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Govern maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, contractor management, resource allocation, and budget control. Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, quality, energy, and health & safety standards, including ISO management systems. Lead risk management, business continuity, fire protection, and emergency preparedness to safeguard site operations.Build team capability through coaching, leadership, and implementation of Integrated Work System (IWS) standards and problem-solving methodologies. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, and external partners to deliver operational excellence and resolve business challenges. Oversee Building & Utilities projects, audits, inspections, and improvement programs, ensuring sustainable results and continuous development. Requirements: Higher technical education at HF/FH level or a degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field. Experience in Building and Utilities systems, maintenance governance, budget and contractor management, safety compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement is preferred. Previous people leadership or team management experience is mandatory. Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken. Strong knowledge of building and utilities systems, maintenance governance, and infrastructure services, with the ability to set priorities, manage budgets and resources, and oversee maintenance performance. Proficiency in SAP and Power BI is an advantage. Familiarity with Integrated Work System (IWS), Kaizen, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance and structured problem-solving is preferred.
