Working as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker on Falcon Ward, (Trauma and Orthopaedics').

Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, and in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Nursing Associate, incorporating:

Continence Management Nutrition & Hydration Undertaking and recording of Vital Signs Moving & Handling of patients to support independence Infection Prevention and Control Safeguarding of adults and children

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Has achieved care certificate in NHS or willing to achieve within six months Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent)

Desirable

level 3 qualification in health and social care

Experience Essential

minimum of six months HCSW experience in a relevant care setting

Desirable

HCSW experience in NHS hospital
