Working as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker on Falcon ward which is being transitioned to become a trauma an orthopaedic ward. This is a fixed term post for one year to cover maternity leave.
Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, and in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Nursing Associate, incorporating:
o Continence Management
o Nutrition & Hydration
o Undertaking and recording of Vital Signs
o Moving & Handling of patients to support independence
o Infection Prevention and Control
o Safeguarding of adults and children.

NHS Care Certificate or willing to complete within six months Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent)

six months HCSW experience in a relevant care setting

Has worked for the NHS as a HCSW
