DescriptionStaff Accountant (Contract)We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our accounting team during a maternity leave coverage assignment. This individual will play a key role in month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and intercompany accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries and accrualsMaintain general ledger accounts and perform account analysisPrepare monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesSupport financial reporting and management reporting processesReconcile intercompany accounts and record necessary adjustmentsAssist with billing reviews, treasury-related activities, and other accounting functionsPartner with operations, sales, AP, and AR teams to support business needsResearch accounting issues and provide solutions to improve processesPrepare ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of corporate accounting experienceStrong month-end close experienceExperience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliationsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsExperience working within an ERP system such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or NAVStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with intercompany accountingExperience supporting financial reporting processesBilingual SpanishPrior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate accounting environmentTop SkillsMonth-End CloseJournal EntriesAccrualsGeneral LedgerAccount ReconciliationsBalance Sheet ReconciliationsFinancial ReportingIntercompany AccountingMicrosoft ExcelERP Systems (SAP, Dynamics, NAV)Recruiter NotesIdeal candidates will come from Accountant, Staff Accountant, Corporate Accountant, or General Ledger Accountant backgrounds. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
