Job Title: Manufacturing Business AnalystJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Business Analyst plays a central role in building, owning, and maintaining the companys data foundation, including bills of materials (BOMs), costing structures, and raw material specifications. This position defines what data the organization retains, pursues critical information from operations, supply chain, and vendors, and ensures accurate entry into the ERP system. By setting and enforcing data standards, the analyst improves purchasing, valuation, and cost control, and helps ensure that financial and operational numbers remain reliable and durable for future due diligence. Responsibilities • Own and manage the companys core data foundation, including BOMs, standard costing, and raw material specifications used across the business. • Decide which operational, supply chain, and vendor data the company retains, and ensure that all relevant information is accurately captured and maintained. • Pursue and collect data from operations, supply chain teams, and external vendors, and enter it into the ERP and related systems with high accuracy. • Set, document, and enforce data standards to keep master data consistent, reliable, and up to date across the organization. • Conduct root cause analysis to identify data-related issues affecting purchasing, valuation, and cost control, and implement corrective actions. • Maintain and continuously improve master data within the ERP system to support accurate reporting and decision-making. • Analyze costing, BOMs, and related financial and operational data to support improved cost control and business performance. • Use Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions to analyze and present data clearly to stakeholders. • Leverage SQL, Power BI, Python, or Tableau to build reports, dashboards, and analyses that provide meaningful insights into manufacturing and cost data. • Utilize AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or OpenAI-based solutions to enhance data analysis, automation, and process efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure data integrity and alignment with business needs. • Support the preparation of accurate, defensible data and metrics that can withstand external review and due diligence by future buyers. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, including maintaining and improving data within an ERP environment for at least 3 years. • Minimum of 3 years of root cause analysis experience within the manufacturing industry. • Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining master data in a manufacturing or similar environment. • Minimum of 3 years of experience with standard costing or bills of materials (BOMs). • Strong proficiency in master data management and data governance practices. • Ability to create and use pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions in Microsoft Excel for data analysis. • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, or Tableau for reporting, analytics, and data visualization. • Experience utilizing AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or OpenAI-based solutions to support analysis and automation. • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex manufacturing and cost data and present clear insights. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, supply chain, information systems, data analytics, or a related field. • Experience with SAGE ERP or similar ERP platforms. • Background in the food and beverage industry or other process manufacturing environments. • Familiarity with standard costing methodologies and cost accounting principles. • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, supply chain, and finance teams. • Interest in contributing to a growing team that is advancing its use of technology and data-driven decision-making. Work EnvironmentThis role is primarily onsite during the initial onboarding period, with the expectation of working on-site for the first 12 months to deeply understand systems, processes, and cross-functional workflows. After this period, the position offers flexibility to work remotely 12 days per week, while remaining closely connected to manufacturing and operational teams. The environment is focused on growth, technology adoption, and continuous improvement, with regular use of ERP systems, advanced analytics tools, and AI solutions to support data-driven decisions. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bethlehem, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
