APPLY NOW!Job Title: Welder$23- 25Job DescriptionThis position is for a MIG Welder/Fabricator who will support the manufacturing of conveyor systems. The role requires interpreting blueprints, gathering appropriate materials, setting up jigs and fixtures, tacking components in place, and performing finish welds.Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding as required per job order. • Read blueprints for proper setup of products and builds. • Set-up, operate, and maintain MIG welding machine and accessories. • Assemble and manufacture weldments to prints, sketches, or instructions. • Take responsibility and initiative for weld inspections and repairs. • Ship, grind, and prepare surfaces before and after welding as required. • Weld mild and stainless steels. • Make various types and sizes of welds, such as groove, lap, butt, and tee. • Handle or position work with or without fixtures as required. • Complete tasks with minimal supervision and attention to detail. • Use manual machinery to fabricate own parts and fixtures. • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes if needed. Essential Skills
• Entry-level trade school or 2 to 3 years of experience with MIG welding of mild and stainless steel. • Ability to interpret and read blueprints. • Utilize fabrication tools such as band saws, saws, and grinders. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Welding school and training would be a plus. • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
