Commercial Drywall Hanger & Finisher Location: Charlotte, NC Pay: $20-$25/hrJob DescriptionThe role involves measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project plans and specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing drywall to metal and wood framing using screws, adhesives, and other fastening methods. This includes installing moisture-resistant, fire-rated, and specialty drywall systems as required, as well as corner bead, backing, blocking, and trim accessories.Responsibilities

• Operate drywall lifts, scaffolding, and other trade-specific equipment safely. • Apply tape, joint compound, and finishing materials to drywall seams and joints. • Perform multiple finish coats to achieve Levels 1-5 drywall finishes. • Sand and prepare surfaces for painting and finishing trades. • Repair damaged drywall, patch imperfections, and complete punch-list items. • Match existing textures and finishes when required. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. • Coordinate work with framing, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and painting trades. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Transport, load, and unload drywall materials safely. • Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and customer expectations. • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety requirements at all times. Essential Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial drywall hanging and/or finishing experience. • Ability to install, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall independently. • Experience working on commercial construction projects. • Ability to read blueprints and specification drawings. • Familiarity with metal stud framing and commercial wall systems preferred. • Experience using drywall lifts, scaffolding, laser levels, and hand/power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. • Experience in data center construction, healthcare construction, educational facilities, industrial and manufacturing facilities. • Experience with large commercial projects exceeding $1 million. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
