North Lakes Children’s Services Residential Deputy Manager - Children's Home Contract: Full Time, Permanent Base Salary: £32,349.49 per annum Potential Earnings: Up to £35,606.77 per annum with sleep-in shifts Location: Heads Nook, Brampton, Cumbria Specific Hours: 42 hours per week - shift pattern on rotation

North Lakes Children’s Services provides therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18, helping them build resilience, confidence and essential life skills.

We now have a Deputy Manager opportunity at our four-bed home in Brampton. If you’re a qualified and experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager with an approachable, inspiring leadership style, we’d love to hear from you.

Main Duties

Support the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets its Statement of Purpose and delivers high-quality careMaintain strong team communication and ensure policies and procedures are followedOversee care quality, staff training, development and supervisionEnsure full compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory standardsMonitor the condition and safety of the home, equipment and furnishingsAssist with budgeting, financial oversight and accurate record-keepingPromote equality, diversity and child protection throughout the homeLead on quality assurance and continuous service improvementProvide effective team leadership, supervision and appraisalsMaintain confidentiality at all timesSupport new staff through induction About You

Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in careLevel 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Excellent communication and listening skillsWillingness to learn and work well within a small teamFull UK driving licence and ability to support other homes when needed Desirable
