Job summary Theatre Assistant | Theatres | Spire Parkway Hospital | Solihull, Birmingham | Private Hospital | 37.5hrs per week (shifts between 7.30am-8pm, Monday to Saturday)
Main duties of the job As a Theatre Assistant, you will be an integral part of the perioperative team, supporting the smooth and efficient running of our operating theatres. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the theatre team during surgical procedures. * Assisting Scrub Nurses and other clinical colleagues within the operating theatre. * Providing support to patients in the anaesthetic room. * Safely transporting patients to and from theatre and ward areas. * Preparing theatre equipment and opening sterile packs in line with clinical protocols. * Checking, handling and preparing surgical instruments prior to procedures. * Assisting with stock management, equipment ordering and inventory control. * Maintaining a clean and safe theatre environment in line with infection prevention and control standards. * Contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience. * Supporting the theatre team to ensure theatres operate safely, effectively and efficiently.

Spire Parkway Hospital is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Theatre Assistant to join our friendly and supportive theatre team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a busy and professional theatre environment. Working alongside Consultants, Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support a range of surgical procedures while helping to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a compassionate and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing outstanding patient care.
You will ideally have: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally within a theatre or surgical environment.A caring, professional and patient-focused approach.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Good organisational skills and attention to detail.A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and patient care.
