BryceTech is seeking a Technology Experimentation Specialist to support a Department of Defense client in the planning and execution of technology assessments, demonstrations, and experimentation activities. This position will provide hands-on technical and operational support, including system and network setup, troubleshooting, participant training, data collection, and event execution.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating in military or Department of Homeland Security environments and be comfortable working directly with emerging technologies in both office and field settings. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot technical issues, communicate effectively with users and stakeholders, and adapt quickly during technology demonstrations and assessment events.
Responsibilities
Support the preparation, setup, and execution of technical and operational eventsPerform network and system setup and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues during technology assessments and demonstrationsPlan and execute technology assessments and demonstrations in coordination with program stakeholders and technical teamsProvide instruction and hands-on training to event participants using established curricula, both in person and virtuallyDevelop system familiarization and training materials, including PowerPoint presentations and computer-based training, with support from the broader teamSupport the development of digital and automated data collection and reporting capabilities for use during assessment and demonstration eventsCapture and document material and non-material outcomes from technology integration and experimentation activitiesReview data from tests, assessments, and demonstrations to identify findings, opportunities, challenges, and potential recommendationsSupport the communication of key findings and outcomes from demonstrations, test events, and tabletop exercises to program stakeholdersCollaborate with technical and program teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and improve the effectiveness of technology experimentation activitiesTravel to support technology assessments, demonstrations, and other program activities as required Active Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree, preferably in software engineering, computer science, networking, information technology, or a related discipline3–5 years of relevant experience in a military unit, Department of Homeland Security operating unit, or similar operational environmentExperience troubleshooting networking and software issuesExperience participating in technology assessments, demonstrations, evaluations, or experimentation activitiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to explain technical concepts and provide instruction to users with varying levels of technical experienceStrong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated initiative, adaptability, and ability to manage competing prioritiesAbility and willingness to travel 25% or more BryceTech offers a full range of benefits, including competitive salary, a comprehensive health plan including dental and vision coverage, company-paid life & disability insurance policies, 401(k) plan with company match, and an educational reimbursement program.
