An opportunity has risen, where the Birmingham & Solihull TB Service are seeking an Enthusiastic Nurse to join the Team.
The Team provide follow-up care to patients diagnosed with Tuberculosis and offer screening to contacts.
The Specialist Team manage TB Incidents and Outbreaks across Birmingham & Solihull.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic nurse who has an interest in TB and experience in working with vulnerable and underserved people.
The post holder must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable and have substantial experience in this or similar field.
The role of the TB Specialist Nurse, requires to Case Manage Caseload of Patients (adults and children), support and ensure treatment completion, thus preventing the spread of infection to others and minimising the development of drug-resistant disease.
The Post Holder will join the Multi-disciplinary Team and work closely with UKHSA, Local Authorities, have links with Neighbouring TB Services and liaise with TB services across the country.
Being a car driver is essential, as it is a community post.
