Assistant Executive Officer (26270227)

The Office of the Dean of Science and Technology is seeking a highly motivated administrator to join its PR Team as an Assistant Executive Officer. The appointee will play a key role in supporting high-impact marketing, public relations and event management initiatives to elevate the Faculty’s brand and engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Support for Events and Projects: Assist in the planning and organisation of events and promotional activities, including but not limited to workshops, competitions, conferences, campaigns and ceremonies, at both Faculty and University levels. • Communications and Content Creation: Take primary responsibility for creation and publication of the Faculty e-newsletter by collecting news, drafting content, managing production schedules, etc. The appointee is also required to assist in preparing other editorial materials such as news articles, press releases and social media posts. • Team Collaboration and Office Support: Work collaboratively within and across teams to support daily administrative operations, as such preparing formal reports, correspondences and documents, managing records, and carrying out other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Applicants should hold a recognised bachelor’s degree. Prior experience with advertising or PR agencies (or similar industry environments), or tertiary education institutions is an advantage, but not essential. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); • Proactivity and a strong sense of responsibility; • Willingness and ability to execute routine administrative tasks with high precision and attention to detail; • Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and • Proficiency in standard office software (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), general IT applications and common AI tools.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. Depending on the candidate’s experience, the initial appointment may be offered on a fixed-term, gratuity-bearing contract of one or two years.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
