Who are we looking for? Whether your expertise lies in flood modelling, hydrology, hydraulic engineering, surface water, catchments, mine water management or water balance modelling, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly interested in professionals with strong experience in TUFLOW and/or GoldSim, who are looking to contribute to major infrastructure, mining, water infrastructure, defence, urban development, dams, tailings, environmental and digital disciplines. You’ll contribute to meaningful work within a supportive culture that values technical excellence, career growth and flexible opportunities across our connected network. Positions can be based at any GHD office in Australia, and we’re open to discussing preferences for full time and part time. Working with an energetic and high performing team, you may be involved in:

• Hydraulic, hydrologic and water balance models using tools such as TUFLOW and GoldSim. • Delivering flood studies, floodplain risk management studies, flood impact assessments and development impact assessments. • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic assessments in accordance with Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) methodologies. • Supporting mine water management studies, operational water assessments and strategic water planning projects. • Analysing complex catchments, water systems and flood behaviours to support informed decision making. • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across water resources, civil engineering, environmental services, mining, dams, tailings and planning. • Managing projects, maintaining strong client relationships and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. • Contributing to proposals, business development activities and the continued growth of our water resources capability. • Conducting technical reviews and mentoring emerging professionals across the team.

What you will bring to the team:

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline. • Approximately 5 to 15 years of relevant consulting, industry or client-side experience. • Experience in one or more of the following areas: • Flood modelling • Hydrology • Hydraulic engineering • Surface water engineering • Mine water management • Water balance modelling • Water resources planning and assessment

• Strong technical capability in one or more of the following: • TUFLOW • GoldSim

• Experience delivering complex water resources projects across infrastructure, mining, energy, water, defence or urban development sectors. • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills. • Project management experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. • A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
