We are looking for a proactive and handson HR Advisor to join our People Team, supporting services across PartnersHealth. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR practitioner who enjoys being close to operational teams, providing pragmatic, highquality people advice and supporting managers to get the best from their staff.
As HR Advisor, you will manage a varied employee relations caseload and provide advice across the full range of people matters, including absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues, organisational change and workforce planning. Alongside case management, you will play a key role in developing managers, systems and processes to drive continuous improvement, embed best practice and build people management capability across the Group.
Main duties of the job
PartnersHealth employs over 100 staff and delivers HR services to two large, multisite GP practices, each employing over 80 people. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting managers with daytoday HR issues and longerterm workforce development.
You will also lead on key areas of people work, including the development of the EDI strategy for the PCN, working closely with clinical and operational leaders to ensure equality, fairness and inclusion are embedded in practice.
This is a unique and highly operational role. You will need to be a selfstarter who can think on their feet, build credibility quickly and work independently. Much of the role is based out in practices, working directly with managers and teams this is not a deskbased HR position.
You will have proven operational HR experience, a sound working knowledge of employment law and the confidence to work collaboratively with managers across multiple sites. A CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is essential.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The HR Advisor will work within PartnersHealth & 2 of our practices within Rushcliffe PCN to manage a caseload of employee relations matters providing timely, high quality and professional HR advice and support to managers. Alongside HR colleagues, you will develop a framework of policies and resources to support the development and management of people. As well as case management you will lead on developing management capability through training and support. The role will work closely with Practice Managers and centralised functions to support organisational change and service delivery.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Case Management
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and staff across a wide range of employee relations and workforce issues, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance matters, flexible working, capability, change management, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
-Communicate complex and sensitive information, using appropriate tact, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Support managers to problem-solve and identify proportionate, lawful and practical solutions to people management issues.
- Advise and support managers in employee relations meetings, investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policy.
- Promote early, informal and proportionate resolution of employee relations issues wherever possible.
- Maintain accurate records and case documentation to support audit and governance requirements.
Management Support
- Provide advice on employment law matters, including contractual issues, redeployment and organisational change.
-Support managers to achieve workforce key performance indicators, including attendance, retention and mandatory training.
- Develop robust management information to support Partners and managers in decision making
- Assist practice in developing wellbeing and engagement strategies to promote workforce retention
- Provide HR advice on recruitment, terms and conditions, and pay-related matters.
Administrative
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies in line with legislative change and organisational need.
- Delivery of training workshops on key HR topics including absence and employee relations
- Development of processes and interventions to support effective support of people working in General Practice
- Support with job evaluation and design alongside HR colleagues
- Commit to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with employment legislation and best practice.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential
Operational HR experience across a broad range of employee relations matters including capability, performance, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance and organisational change. Up-to-date working knowledge of employment law and employee relations processes. Experience of promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Experience of working in partnership with Trade Unions or staff representatives. Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, managers and staff-side representatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally and non judgmentally Ability to develop and deliver people-management training, coaching or guidance. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse workforce data to inform action Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively as part of a team. Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and meet competing deadlines Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
