Main duties of the job

The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, efficient operations, and a positive experience for patients and staff.

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient service deliveryOversee administrative systems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectivenessManage, support, and develop the practice team, including recruitment, training, and performance managementEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standardsMonitor practice performance.Act as the main point of contact for operational issues, resolving challenges in a timely and professional mannerMaintain a high standard of patient care and experience, addressing feedback and implementing improvements where neededCoordinate with external stakeholders, suppliers, and partners as requiredSupport strategic planning and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the practiceThis role requires a proactive, organised individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience (Essential) Proven experience working as a Practice Manager Experience within a healthcare or primary care setting Demonstrable experience of leading and managing a team Strong background in overseeing day-to-day operations within a practice environment Experience in administrative and operational management Experience of working in a patient or customer-focused setting Strong leadership and organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities High level of attention to detail and accuracy Good IT skills, including use of standard office systems
