Job summary

The Holbrook and Shotley Practice, in Ipswich, is seeking two organised and professional receptionists to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.

This will be for 15 hours per week, working the following patterns:

Receptionist 1 Monday 08:00 -17:00 Tuesday 14:00 - 18:30 Thursday 13:00 - 18:30 Receptionist 2 Tuesday 08:00 -17:00 Thursday 14:00 - 18:30 Friday 13:00 - 18:30

Main duties of the job

Greeting and directing all patients.Making appointments.Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.Advising patients of practice procedures.Registering new patients.Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.

The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP partners, two salaried GPs, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedics, and reception team.

Qualifications Essential

We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.

Experience Essential

Excellent communication skills, with a patient-focussed attitude A quick learner with good IT skills and excellent attention to detail Helpful and friendly manner is essential, with the ability to work well with others Primary care/healthcare experience would be desirable Flexible to cover for sickness and holidays
