Compensation (Grade 9N & 10): Grade 9N: $32.67 - $39.21/ hr. Grade 10: $76,458 - $91,749 Work Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite) General Summary (Grade 9N & 10): Under the direction of the director, Strategic Communications and the chief communication officer, assists with developing and coordinating communication materials for internal and external audiences, including members, employers, retirement board members, media, associates and other key stakeholders. Writes, edits and proofreads content; coordinates routine project activities; and works with Communication Services associates and organizational business areas to support clear, accurate, accessible and consistent communications.
Summary of Responsibilities (Grade 9N & 10):
• Assist with creating presentations, talking points, video scripts, news releases, social media content and other materials for internal and external audiences. (Grade 9N) • Collaborate with the executive director, senior leadership team and organizational leaders to create presentations, talking points, video scripts, news releases, social media content and other materials for internal and external audiences. (Grade 10) • Develop, edit and proofread clear, accurate and audience-focused content for print, digital, presentation and internal communication channels. Assist with translating technical or complex information into clear, concise communications. (Grade 9N) • Develop key messages and create, edit and proofread clear, accurate, and audience-centered content for print, digital, presentation and executive communication channels. (Grade 10) • Manage communication projects from intake through completion, coordinating scope, assignments, approvals, production, mailing logistics and follow-up to ensure timely delivery. (Grade 10) • Assist with developing communication materials and project plans for programs, services and organizational initiatives. Collect audience feedback and communication metrics and prepare routine summaries. Summary of Qualifications (Grade 9N & 10):
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or a related field required. (Grade 10) • Three or more years of related experience in communications, public relations, writing, editing or content development preferred. (Grade 9N) • Seven or more years of professional experience in communications, public relations, content development or a related field required. (Grade 10) • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification preferred. (Grade 10) • Ability to gather information and translate technical or complex subject matter into clear, concise and audience-appropriate content for print, digital, presentation and internal communication channels. (Grade 9N) • Demonstrated skills to simplify complex information into clear, concise, audience-focused communications—including strategies, key messages, project plans and measurement methods—that advance business objectives. (Grade 10) • Ability to conduct research, organize findings and prepare routine summaries, including audience feedback, communication metrics and other performance information. (Grade 9N)
