About this role
Fox Cities Builders is seeking a detail-driven Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in turning project opportunities into successful builds by developing accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals for commercial, agricultural, and concrete construction projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients, you'll help ensure projects are competitively priced, financially sound, and positioned for success from the very beginning.
What You'll Do:
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Perform detailed concrete quantity takeoffs including foundations, footings, slabs, walls, and related site work
• Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and production costs
• Assist with contract reviews, scope verification, and pre-construction planning
• Support project handoffs to operations and field teams
What We're Looking For:
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Experience with concrete estimating, construction estimating, or related construction management preferred
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
• Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
