We are seeking a reliable and organised Catering Assistant to join our catering team in Shropshire, United Kingdom. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional hospitality environment. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our catering operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, service, and hygiene are maintained at all times whilst contributing positively to our collaborative team.
Assist with the serving of food and beverages to guests, ensuring a professional, courteous, and customer-focused service at all times Support with stock management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food items appropriately to maintain quality and freshnessWash, clean, and sterilise kitchen equipment and utensils to the required hygiene standards, demonstrating meticulous attention to detailSupport senior catering staff with general duties as required, demonstrating flexibility, willingness to learn, and a positive attitudeRespond promptly and efficiently to requests from team members, contributing to a supportive and inclusive working environmentComply with all food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and organisational policies at all timesMaintain awareness of dietary requirements and allergen information, ensuring guests' needs are met with empathy and careWork efficiently under pressure during busy service periods, remaining resilient and organised throughout the day Demonstrable knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices, or willingness to obtain Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of qualityExcellent people skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a teamAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistently high standards in all tasksReliable and punctual with flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including weekends and evenings as requiredKnowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness (desirable)Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment (desirable)Willingness to undertake induction training and develop your skill base within the role At Aramark UK, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and empowered to thrive.
