As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations and contributing to a collaborative, supportive team atmosphere.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areasWash pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughlyAssist with the receipt, storage, and organization of food and supply deliveriesSupport chefs and the wider kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when requiredEnsure all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed in compliance with company standardsKeep kitchen storage areas clean, tidy, and well-organized at all timesFollow food safety, health and safety, and company procedures consistentlyWork collaboratively with team members to support smooth kitchen operationsRespond promptly to requests from kitchen staff and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentMaintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate protective equipment as required A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to excellenceAbility to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environmentStrong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse team membersExcellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to high standards of cleanlinessPhysical stamina and capability to lift, carry, and handle kitchen equipment and suppliesReliability, punctuality, and a flexible approach to work schedulesWillingness to learn and support the wider catering teamBasic understanding of food safety and hygiene principlesPrevious kitchen porter, dishwashing, or cleaning experience is desirable but not essentialAbility to follow instructions and procedures accuratelyResilience and adaptability when managing multiple tasks simultaneously About Aramark
