We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team in Letterkenny, Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our workplace environments to the highest level. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficiency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to health and safety compliance while working both independently and collaboratively with our team. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and well-being of everyone in our organization.
Clean and sanitize all designated areas including offices, communal spaces, restrooms, and corridors to the highest standardsEmpty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately, ensuring proper waste segregation where requiredOperate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectivelyRestock cleaning supplies and report shortages to management promptlyMaintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediatelyAdhere to all health and safety protocols, including COSHH compliance, and wear personal protective equipment as requiredRespond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or accidents with urgency and professionalismWork flexibly to accommodate varying shift patterns and organizational requirementsContribute to a positive workplace environment through professional conduct, teamwork, and excellent customer serviceUndertake onboarding training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunitiesIdentify and communicate potential safety hazards to management in a timely mannerFollow detailed cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all areas Proven experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role (preferred)Proficiency in using a range of cleaning equipment and machinerySound knowledge of cleaning products, their applications, and safe handling proceduresUnderstanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH complianceStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standardsPhysical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks consistentlyAbility to work independently and take initiative when requiredStrong people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a teamExcellent communication and customer service orientationReliability and punctualityProblem-solving ability and adaptability to different cleaning environmentsAbility to work flexible shift patterns and respond to changing organizational needsWillingness to undertake onboarding training and ongoing professional developmentFirst Aid certification (preferred)Commitment to following detailed cleaning protocols and maintaining compliance standards About Aramark
