About the Role Foothill Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Emergency Department team. Our Values Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team As an Emergency Department LVN, you will assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians while supporting the department's commitment to safety, quality, and compassionate service. Clinical Care & Patient Support Administer medications and treatments within LVN scope of practice and hospital policies. Assist with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and emergency interventions. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, taking appropriate action and documenting observations. Perform basic IV management when appropriately certified. Utilize aseptic and infection prevention techniques during treatments and procedures. Support patient care through specimen collection, wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures. Patient Comfort & Experience Assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, comfort measures, and mobility needs. Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients and families during stressful situations. Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment. Documentation & Monitoring Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient assessments. Record treatments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record. Assist with patient transportation and coordination of care activities. Maintain timely and accurate documentation to support continuity of care.
