About this role
Job summary This is an exciting role within the Day surgery Admin and Clerical Team, working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.The role requires someone who has a great level of attention to detail and good organisational skills for managing in a busy environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for dealing with colleagues, patients and families.The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide a friendly, effective reception, advice and information service to patients, colleagues, and visitors to the Theatre departments. Supporting and assisting the other receptionists and nursing staff in the day-to-day management of the ward and contribute to the care environment and carry out general administrative duties. Maintaining electronic patient records, including the use of MAXIMS, EPRO Galaxy and TrakCare.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the reception area is tidy & well organised and that office supplies and stationary are ordered and kept stocked up.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Good standard of literacy and numeracy and spoken English.
Desirable
Five GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent one of which must be English language NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.
