Reports To Fitness and Aquatics Supervisor Aquatics Coordinator Position Type We're currently hiring daytime lifeguards for the 2026-27 school year! Typical shifts start between 7-9am and end at noon. Looking to fill 1-2 daytime weekday shifts per week. Option to pick up more shifts: early AM, evening, and weekends! Description
• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
• Able to act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
• Maintains a clean facility performing house cleaning duties
• All other duties as assigned and appropriate
Qualifications
• 15 years of age and older
• Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm
• Ability to positively interact with co-workers and the general public
• Punctual, responsible and self-motivated
• Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (required) - see below.
Schedule and Location Flexible scheduling! Typical weekday shifts during the school-year include
• 5-7am, 5-8am or 5-9am
• 7am-12pm, 8am-12pm or 9am-12pm
• 3-5:30pm and 5:30-7pm
Typical weekend shifts during the school-year include:
• 7am-12pm
• 12-5pm
Training & Certification Lifeguard certification classes are held at the Fitness and Aquatic Center seasonally. Check Community Education for upcoming classes. The cost of certification is fully reimbursed after 90 hours of employment at the Fitness and Aquatic Center.
