Job description
The Data Production team serves Experian Data Quality's clients by ensuring that they have the latest datasets for use within their EDQ products, and that the data is accurately produced to high standards.
Your role as Junior Data Production Analyst involves taking responsibility for delivering data updates, working with data suppliers. This is a technical delivery role, responsible for processing data files for delivery to the customer and dealing with all issues as they arise.
You will report to the Data Production Lead.
What you'll do:
Deliver all assigned data updates within agreed timescalesLiaise with data suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure the data is delivered on time, according to the technical specificationExecute data production software and data release pipelines as appropriate for each updateDeal with technical issues that occur during the delivery cycle (eg. missing data, incorrect formats, updates to scripts, missing files, program bugs or errors)Execute full Quality Assurance checks of the assigned data setsUnderstand and amend basic scripted command filesManage the electronic delivery of data to customersWork with colleagues to address any issues encountered during an update, ensuring that status and plans are accurately communicatedContinuously identify and advocate opportunities for improving processesAct as a stakeholder on development – share knowledge of data and production processes, spotting and raising bugs and improvements to the product development teamsAct as last line support for the regional commercial and support teams for any data related issues What you'll bring:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English – able to work with stakeholders from multiple teams and geographiesPassion about data and experience in data analysisCreating and maintaining process documentationUnderstanding and amending of basic scripted command filesNot afraid of taking ownership, plan and prioritize work, with frequently changing prioritiesFamiliar with different computer systems and toolsExperience with Azure DevOps, Python or PowerShell will be considered a plusComfortable taking decisions independently based on the analysis completed and personal experienceCapable of reviewing and understanding data files and make changes to accommodate updates/modificationsExcellent troubleshooting capabilities You will get:
