Main duties of the job As a Clinical Psychologist at Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, you will join a service dedicated to CAMHS Eating Disorders. In this rewarding role, you will report directly to the Therapy Lead, taking responsibility for both individual and group interventions. Your duties will include conducting diagnostic and cognitive assessments, participating in MDT work, and performing risk assessments. Additionally, you will conduct staff reflective practice sessions and develop and deliver training programs. You are expected to manage a wide-ranging caseload of service users, involving complex needs assessments and crafting specialist psychological treatments. As a Psychologist you will be:
Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service. Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions. Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods. Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practise. Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care. Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures. To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Have BPS recognised psychology degrees Be HCPC registered Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinicial setting. Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits Have previous experience of conducting research and project working Where you will be working:
